This ongoing position involves 5.75 hours per day, assisting in the delivery of educational programs for students with autism. As a collaborative member of the school team, you will advocate for students, ensuring their needs are met effectively. Your role will significantly contribute to creating an inclusive learning workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in implementing educational programs for students
• Advocate for students' needs within the school team
• Collaborate with professionals to support behavioral development
• Implement evidence-informed practices promoting inclusivity
• Maintain an exemplary driving record for transport needs
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion (Dogwood Certificate)
• Education Assistant Certificate Program completion
• 30-hour POPARD program completed
• Class 5 BC Driver's License with clean record
• 6 months experience with behavioral disorders
