Job Summary - Operations
The ITAD/Computer Technician is responsible for testing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing laptops and other electronic equipment as required, and performing inventory control including Approved Certified Data Destruction (CDD). They may also be responsible for wiping/destroying hard drives as per Client specs and SOW requirements, cleaning electronics to be shipped, auditing electronics, and also palletizing electronic equipment (PCs, laptops, printers, removable disks, monitors etc.)
The Position
Perform data sanitization and factory resets
Serialization (assigning serial numbers, asset tagging) of IT assets
Test, analyze, diagnose, and repair all existing and incoming laptops, printers, and other electronic devices parts/components to ensure products are fully functional.
Change RAM (install physical component)
Change out hardware for the devices (physical component)
Install new memory upgrades
Lifting and moving up to 20 lbs. regularly
Diagnose and troubleshoot product faults, and adjust, replace, or repair
Evaluate the operation of electronic components using the software provided
Your Qualifications & Abilities:
Preference is a computer programming diploma or degree (or something IT/electronic focused).
Experience with laptops, desktops, and iPads/tablets
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Experience in repairing wireless products from cosmetic changes, screens, batteries, internal components, software, flashing and unlocking
Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair and testing on various mobile products, including Android, iPhones, and iPads
Strong technical background in electronics
Flexible, fast learner with the ability to multitask
