Lead education for 2-5 students in a pivotal Teaching Principal role at Lhoosk'uz Dene Nation. Nurture diverse learning with personalized curriculum and community engagement while ensuring effective school operations.
The Teaching Principal will manage a small rural school and deliver tailored educational experiences. In this dynamic position, you will also oversee daily school management while creating an inclusive curriculum. Your primary focus will be on fostering a nurturing and innovative learning workplace in the Kluskus community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design personalized curriculum addressing academic and social needs
• Manage daily school operations ensuring safety and operational standards
• Facilitate strong community relationships with families and elders
• Implement educational policies aligning with provincial standards
• Provide mentorship and development for support staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Education and BC Teaching Certificate
• 3 years of experience in educational roles
• Familiarity with Indigenous educational philosophies
• Driver's License and excellent organizational skills
• Experience with First Nation educational programs preferred
