WSP seeks a Lead Archaeologist in Northern Ontario who will empower local communities through responsible archaeological assessments. Influence cultural planning while protecting vital historical landscapes.
As a Senior Archaeologist, you will lead archaeological projects while ensuring respectful engagement with Indigenous Nations. With robust experience, you will manage the project lifecycle, from scope development to regulatory submissions, and mentor junior staff to cultivate a collaborative workplace.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough archaeological assessments per MCM guidelines • Manage project budgets, schedules,
and client communications • Deliver technical reviews meeting quality standards • Mentor archaeological staff for skilled growth • Analyze archaeological data contextual to Northern Ontario
Requirements: • MCM professional license for archaeological fieldwork • Minimum 10 years of consulting experience and 5 years in leadership • Expertise in Ontario’s archaeological context and standards • Robust project management capabilities • Provincial and Federal Security Clearance when required
