General Description
As a Multi-Craft Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by troubleshooting, carrying out preventative maintenance, as well as the repair of all process related equipment in your assigned area. You will also be responsible for adhering to and promoting all safety and housekeeping standards throughout the facility.

Pay Breakdown

$45.00/hr includes built in OT and $1.25/hr rotating shift bonus (equates to $98,273.69 annual earnings)

Overtime shifts available (base rate x1.5 = $64.10/hr)

Statutory Holiday shifts available (base rate pay x2 = $85.46/hr)

You also have the option to keep the hours you work to flex them to another day if you are scheduled to work that day or get paid out for that day making it a base rate pay x 3 situation

Apprenticeships offered for both Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) and Industrial Electrician (422A)

Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

Perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment to ensure optimum operating conditions and uptime across all related crafts

Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machines and drive power distribution systems, instrumentation, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems

Perform PLC maintenance

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues

Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals and manufacturing specifications

Cut, form, thread, fir and install piping for air, water, steam, oil nitrogen, gas and other lines

Prepare and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions with multiple technologies

Use gas torches or other equipment to cut structural stock for fabrication

Use computerized work order system to refer to in order to prioritize work as instructed, sign onto work orders when work begins, sign out parts against a work order and record time off for all maintenance activities performed.

Abide by secure work standards both in the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) along with Goodyear's internal safety programs which include, but are not limited to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Isolation and Control of Hazardous Energy (ICHE), Work at Heights, Confined Spaces Entry, electrical safety and standards as they relate to Ontario 164/99; Electrical Safety Codee; in conjunction with Canadian

Electrical Code (CSA C22.1:24)



as defined by Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and appropriate use of all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes but not limited to arc flash protection gear (CSA) Z463, fall protection gear, safety glasses, ear protection and safety boots.

Adhere to Goodyear's attendance policy

Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable

Basic Qualifications

Certificate or diploma associated to a technical field such as electrical techniques, mechanical techniques, fabrication, automotive or instrumentation

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent (i.e. HS Diploma/GED)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future

Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies

Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable

Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

Current Certificate of Qualifications recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario and related experience in one of the following:

Industrial electrician with 3+ years' journeyman industrial experience

Mechanical/electronic/electrical technology or instrumentation technology with 3+ years of related industrial experience

Industrial maintenance mechanic (millwright) with 3+ years' journeyman industrial experience

Motor vehicle mechanic with 3+ years' experience

Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards

Candidate Criteria
