Lead patient care quality initiatives as the Assistant Clinical Manager in Hematology/Oncology at CHEO in Ottawa. Collaborate with healthcare teams and ensure safety standards for optimal patient experience.
This pivotal role involves directly reporting to the Clinical Manager and overseeing daily operations. Ideal candidates will exhibit robust leadership, excellent communication, and organizational skills. You will engage with staff, medical professionals, patients, and their families to foster quality assurance and safety in clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Clinical Manager on departmental goals
• Partner with quality improvement teams on CHEOworks tools
• Participate in unit huddles and leader rounding
• Act as leader in continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor safety reports and implement systems to reduce errors
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or relevant health field
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
• Commitment to advancing health equity
• Ability to promote change and adaptability
• Bilingualism preferred but not essential
