We are looking for a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse with experience in orthopedic surgery. This position requires clinical proficiency in patient assessments, wound management, and aseptic techniques. You will work with a cooperative team to ensure high-quality care for orthopedic patients throughout their treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out sterile techniques and apply dressings
• Assess neurovascular status and manage wounds
• Provide cast care and skin traction as needed
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize patient needs
• Engage in patient and family education sessions
Requirements:
• Valid RPN certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BCLS certification (Level C)
• Two years of orthopedic or surgical clinical experience
• Completion of Coronary Care Nursing 1 required
• Excellent communication skills and attendance record
