Be a part of the Regina Police Service team as an LAFOIP Specialist, leading initiatives in access and privacy protection. Your proficiency will help navigate legislative frameworks effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree and a minimum of three years' experience in administering LAFOIP, FOIP, or HIPA. Applicants who have the IAPP Certificate will be preferred. Key competencies will include robust initiative, team spirit, and effective communication skills to facilitate successful procedure implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage privacy legislation compliance across the organization
• Develop explicit procedures to meet organizational goals
• Effectively communicate changes and updates on policies
• Coordinate project parts to meet deadlines consistently
• Evaluate and make informed decisions in challenging situations
Requirements:
• University degree in a related field such as Law or Business
• Three years' direct experience with LAFOIP or similar
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Proven leadership in teamwork and collaboration
• Ability to adapt and stay accountable under varying conditions
