Elevate Inuit well-being as a Senior Policy Advisor with ITK in Ottawa. This role focuses on public health policy, requiring in-depth knowledge and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
In this full time position at ITK, you'll report to the Manager of Policy Advancement. You will work to enhance policies impacting Canada's Inuit communities and serve as a liaison among Inuit Treaty Organizations, various government departments, and NGOs. Your expertise will ensure that program activities are conducted effectively and in alignment with established objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and produce policy-related reports and documents
• Collaborate with partners to fill evidence gaps
• Design funding proposals inclusive of budgets
• Conduct analysis for national policy development
• Facilitate coordination of working groups and committees
Requirements:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• 4+ years of experience in policy development
• Strong understanding of Inuit land claims
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
