Position Details Site/Location LNG in Kitimat, BC. Relocation is required!
Start Date September 7, 2026
Shift/Hours 40 hrs./week and possible overtime
Hourly Rate $63.50/hr. depending on certifications
Relocation We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition if required.
Ensure all rope access activities are performed safely and in compliance with IRATA standards and company policies.
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair work using rope access methods.
Plan and execute rigging setups, ensuring operational safety and compliance with site and IRATA requirements.
Conduct pre-job hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and rescue plans.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and safety checks.
Perform rescues and emergency response procedures as required.
Mentor and evaluate lower-level technicians (Level 1 and 2) in safe work practices. Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Certifications IRATA Level 3 Certification (valid and in good standing) required
Standard First Aid Certification required
Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driver’s Abstract required
Other site-specific safety tickets (e.g., Confined Space Entry, H2S Alive, WHMIS, Fall Protection, TDG, Mobile EWP, etc.)
Qualifications / Experience Minimum 2 years of experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician in industrial environments
Strong understanding of rope access theory, rigging principles, maneuvers, hauling systems,
and advanced rescue techniques
Demonstrated ability to lead, instruct, and supervise Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
Proven leadership and communication skills in a team environment
Solid safety, quality, and client-focus mindset
Self-motivated and capable of working independently in remote, high-risk, and variable conditions
Problem-solving and time-management skills with attention to detail
