The Associate Vice President will steer efforts to position UBC as a vital voice in public policy matters and strengthen connections at local, provincial, and national levels. Candidates should possess extensive experience in public relations and strategic communications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead comprehensive advocacy strategies aligned with UBC's mission
• Manage relationships with government and community partners




• Direct community engagement programs and initiatives
• Facilitate forums and discussions on strategic issues
• Ensure explicit communication between government and UBC leadership

Requirements:
• 5+ years in a senior leadership position
• Advanced degree in Political Science or similar field
• In-depth knowledge of government operations and policies
• Experience with stakeholder relations in higher education
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
