Make a difference in the lives of students as a Casual Child and Youth Care Worker with School District No. 42 in Maple Ridge. This role focuses on fostering social and emotional learning in collaboration with school teams.
As a Casual Child and Youth Care Worker, you will assist with universal and targeted supports for at-risk students. This position requires robust collaboration with counselors and teachers while working either individually or in groups, supporting positive behavior and emotional development through tailored programs and positive behavior plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trust-based relationships with students and families
• Collaborate with school teams on student programs
• Provide guidance and referrals to families
• Assist with transitions and integration of students
• Plan and monitor school-wide social/emotional activities
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and Child/Youth Care Worker Diploma
• Minimum of six months experience with at-risk students
• Ability to work without supervision
• Conflict resolution training
• Valid BC driver’s license
