Job Posting – Construction Labourer (NOC 75110) NOC: 75110 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Estimated Working hours: 35-40hr Wage: $28.50 Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Construction Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various construction and heavy civil projects while working in a physically demanding outdoor environment. The ideal applicant must be flexible, reliable, and willing to work extended hours, weekends, and remote job sites as required. Responsibilities Perform general construction labour duties on commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment. Assist skilled tradespersons and heavy equipment operators. Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact materials. Clean and prepare construction sites before, during, and after work. Operate hand tools and small power tools safely. Install and remove temporary barricades, fencing, and traffic control devices. Assist with concrete work, grading, landscaping, and site preparation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work workplace. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Perform other labour-related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 6–7 months of recent construction labour experience. Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual labour.
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 kg (110 lbs) on a regular basis. Comfortable standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and working in all weather conditions. Ability to work at remote job sites and live in remote camp accommodations when required. Must possess a valid driver’s licence and have access to a reliable personal vehicle for transportation to job sites. Willingness to work weekends, on-call shifts, and extended shifts exceeding 12 hours when operational requirements demand. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Knowledge of construction safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Physically demanding environment involving lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements. Travel to different project locations, including remote communities and work camps, may be required. Overtime and extended work hours may be required depending on project schedules. Preferred Qualifications WHMIS certification (asset). Standard First Aid/CPR certification (asset). Construction Safety Training (asset). Experience working on heavy civil, road construction, utility, or infrastructure projects is considered an asset
