Responsibilities

- Assist in designing and implementing robust extract, transform, and load (ETL) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes

- Partner with cross-functional teams, including architects, data analysts and business users to create high-quality solutions

- Support data modelling initiatives to ensure data quality and accessibility

- Maintain and ensure data quality, integrity, security and consistency across multiple data sources and platforms

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database, pipeline and integrations issues where and when needed

- Monitor platform performance and optimize costs to ensure efficiency and scalability

- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences and contribute to process improvements

- Manage tasks independently while thriving in a collaborative environment

Skills and Experience

- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering,



ETL development, or Business Intelligence development

- Strong ability to work with structured and semi-structured data

- Proficient in SQL and Python (PySpark) for data engineering and transformation

- Practical experience with notebook-based engineering environment (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Jupyter) or other widely used enterprise or cloud-based data notebooks

- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data services; Microsoft Azure and Fabric are assets

- Understanding of database architectures and design principles, including data warehousing, non-relational databases and medallion architecture concepts

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality solutions

- Experience in the accounting and professional services industry is an asset
