Job Title: Project Scheduler
Location: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario
Work Mode: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days/week in office or on-site)
Employment Type: Contract (1-Year Term, with 2 years Extension)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support a PMO team by providing construction planning and scheduling services for infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting on project schedules while collaborating with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain baseline and detailed project schedules.
- Review and validate contractor schedules for logic, sequencing, and durations.
- Analyze monthly schedule updates, critical paths, progress, and variances.
- Prepare Recovery Schedules and Revised Baseline Schedules as required.
- Perform Schedule Delay Analysis and Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
- Support claims analysis with schedule data and documentation.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks and optimization opportunities.
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment.
- Utilize Primavera P6 and MS Project to manage schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and infrastructure scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling,
Earned Value Management (EVM), and project controls.
- Experience with delay analysis, claims support, and construction site coordination.
- Experience reviewing technical documents, drawings, estimates, and project schedules.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 , MS Project , and Microsoft Excel .
- Robust understanding of scope, cost, and schedule integration.
- Ability to provide scheduling expertise and guidance to project teams.
Education
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Certifications
- PMI-SP
- AACE PSP
- PMP
Contract Details
- 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Initial 1-year contract with additional 2 years extension
- Candidates must be able to travel to project and office locations across the GTA as required.
