Job Type & Duration: Full time, 6 month rotation

Shift Information: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

General Accountabilities

Perform administrative services in accordance with established procedures associated with support services. From instructions received, prepare, process, update and check a variety of documentation relevant to the assigned department, using appropriate software for the task. Set-up, maintain and generate reports from databases and mailing lists as required.

Coordinate training and testing and all related materials. Prepare, process and track finance-related documents for the department, such as payments, invoices and expense reports. Document the processes and procedures used in the job.

Perform a variety of clerical duties using standard office software as directed by the Supervisor.

Selection Criteria

Must have a good knowledge of English to communicate effectively with customers. Requires knowledge of business and office practices to provide support to a department and to produce reports from database and spreadsheet software. Requires knowledge of Microsoft Access database application to develop and maintain databases.

Requires knowledge of software programs (such as PowerPoint and Visio) to create and edit documents. . Requires proficiency in keyboard operation and knowledge of standard word processing and spreadsheet software to enter and extract data and produce reports or invoices. Requires experience to understand the activities and processes involved in the administration of regulations or codes and the support required.

Requires experience to perform internet searches, to process expense reports and procurement card statements. This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the successful completion of Grade 12 in a Secondary, Commercial or Technical School or by having equivalent level of education.



A period of over one year, up to two years is considered necessary to gain the required experience.
