Evolution Power is a provider of creative power products, servicing a large geographic area with expansion plans. We are a full-service, off-grid power specialist company that fulfills multiple equipment rental needs for a variety of customers. We are currently establishing our new branch in Whitecourt and are looking for a new Electrician to add to our team.

Remote work often requires longer hours and time spent away from home. This is not a camp position; however, applicants should have Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and be willing to travel between Alberta and BC. Evolution Power recognizes that a healthy work life balance demands time off and Holidays to enjoy family and friends and we do our very best to accommodate with a flexible, rotating schedule.

10 Days On shift requiring 24 Hour availability, followed by 4 Days Off. Repeating, with every second weekend off.

Responsibilities

- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with appropriate codes (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code)
- Position, support, and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, lighting controls, setting up our temporary diesel and natural gas generators.
- Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment.
- Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
- Running temporary panels and cables on frac and water sites

Compensation will be based on a combination of experience and education. Potential for bonus during busy periods, when financial metrics are met or exceeded.





Participation in Extended Health Benefits, past probationary period.

Evolution Power will pay for additional training and courses, where needed.

Mandatory Skills

- Successfully pass drug and alcohol testing.
- Have a Journeyperson Electrician card.
- Valid Class 5 Driver License with clean drivers abstract, upon request.
- Willing to travel.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in terrain that can be frozen, uneven, muddy, slippery, etc. Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
- Have high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets, and employees.
- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.

Additional Skills

- Drivers Credentials higher than Class 5 would be an asset. Ability to upgrade, or a Heavy Haul Endorsement would be of value and may offer a higher wage.
- H2S, First Aid, WHMIS.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $35.00-$48.00 per hour
