The Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the school’s academic programs and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning. This role involves coordinating curriculum implementation, supporting teachers, monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive and effective academic environment.
The Academic
Coordinator works closely with school leadership to align academic goals with the school’s mission and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and oversee academic programs and curriculum delivery.
- Support teachers in lesson planning, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
- Monitor student performance and work with teachers to design interventions for improvement.
- Coordinate assessments, examinations, and reporting processes.
- Provide professional development and training opportunities for teachers.
- Ensure curriculum compliance with educational standards and school policies.
- Collaborate with administration on scheduling, academic calendars,
and resource allocation.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and leadership regarding student progress and academic goals.
- Stay updated on best practices in education and recommend improvements to teaching and learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Previous experience in teaching and/or academic coordination.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
