MCW is currently seeking a self-motivated, hardworking Accounting Administrator to join our Moncton office.
The Accounting
Administrator is responsible for ensuring that accounts receivable (AR) transactions and accounts payables (AP) transactions are recorded and processed in an accurate, timely, efficient, and auditable manner. Duties include a proactive and customer service-focused approach to AP and AR processing and preparing reports.
Position: Accounting Administrator
Location: Moncton, NB Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Set-up of proposals and projects in accounting software.
Review invoice details against the terms of the underlying agreement.
Accounts receivable: Prepare monthly billings by performing daily accounting functions including the preparation of journal entries for adjustments, insurance, inter-office and inter-company invoices, expenses and complete month end.
Assist with year-end audit as necessary.
Respond to questions and provide updates to clients, MCW Management and staff inquiries, maintain good relations and solve problems.
Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Accounts payable: all project expenses, office expenses, the processing and administering of all related employee expenses including balancing, auditing and ensuring expenses are submitted accurately and timely.
Prepare payments and disbursements.
Manage sub-contractor’s invoices.
Assist in the administrative aspects of finance and accounting processes.
Perform other duties and special projects as required. Qualifications, Experience, and Education: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
University
Degree or College Diploma in Accounting or Finance would be considered an asset.
Previous hands-on experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting program would be an asset.
Required Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook). Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure in a qualified and collaborative environment. Ability to locate and collect data from appropriate sources, analyze and prepare reports that summarize the information. Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
Is well organized, proactive and has the ability to prioritize work in a multi–tasked, fast–paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality relating to activities involving duties of position.
Displays flexibility in order to respond to various administrative requests.
