Peyto is currently seeking a permanent full-time Accounting Assistant in the Accounts Payable department. The Accounting Assistant reports directly to the Accounts Payable Lead and is responsible for timely invoice payments exercising considerable discretion while obtaining the necessary internal approvals.

Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

· Organize and verify coding of invoices

· Enter invoices into accounting systems

· Review and post vouchers

· Process and review accounts payable vouchers

· Correct invoice coding and interface errors

· Review vendor monthly statements

· Responsible for vendor inquiries

· Perform special projects as directed

· Scanning

Qualifications

· Minimum five to eight years accounting experience,



preferably in high volume Accounts Payable workplace

· Proficient with Qbyte and Open Invoice

· Proficient with Excel

· Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage large paper flow

· Ability to multitask and be flexible in a fast pasted environment while meeting deadlines

· Detail oriented with drive for efficiency and timeliness

· Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills

· Must be a self starter with the ability to learn quickly
