About the Accounting Coordinator Role The Accounting Coordinator supports Accounts Payable with tasks including invoice processing, intercompany postings, and vendor inquires. They will also assist with maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices.
- Support Accounts Payable with posting invoices.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Support with intercompany postings.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and filing.
- Support the Accounting Manager in various tasks and projects as assigned.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with ERP platforms and accounting software, especially SAP, would be an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of finance principles and reporting practices.
- Knowledge of sales taxes and exempt categories.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, time management skills, and solid documentation techniques.
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to follow systematic methods of performing tasks.
- Ability to effectively build relationships with vendors and co-workers.
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
