Alberta Health Services (AHS) is recruiting dedicated Admin Support to the Diagnostic Imaging department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH). Just steps from Edmonton’s vibrant Ice District, the RAH is an 882-bed facility and the largest, busiest hospital in Western Canada serving a population that spans one-third of the country’s land mass. The role will include checking in patients, booking exams, appointment reminder phone calls, assisting technologists where needed. This role has a heavy workload and can involve high levels of stress.

Description

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

0.40 Posting End Date: 25-AUG-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temp P/T Benefits Date Available: 07-SEP-2026 Temporary End Date: 30-SEP-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 6 Shifts per cycle: 12 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $25.72 Maximum Salary: $31.25 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable

Required Qualifications

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications

Previous Diagnostic Imaging experience and Connect Care training. No physical restrictions such as sitting or standing for extended periods, ability to lift, twist, bend and lift up to 50lb.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Ability to assume responsibility, to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Ability to work under pressure. Demonstrates initiative, good judgement, positive attitude and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability in the use of tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, staff and physicians.
