BGC Dieppe is seeking an experienced and dependable Afterschool Child Care Staff to join our team working with school-aged children.

We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships with children while providing clear expectations, consistent routines and appropriate boundaries. The successful candidate will be confident supervising groups of children, engaging them in activities, and using positive behaviour guidance when challenges arise.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working with children or youth is required and should be clearly demonstrated on your resume.

The successful candidate will

- Be confident supervising and managing groups of school-aged children.
- Build positive, respectful relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Be comfortable leading creative, recreational and active programming.
- Use positive and consistent behaviour guidance.
- Be reliable, energetic and able to adapt to a busy environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, families and team members.
- Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR and required Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks.

Bilingualism (English/French)



and education or experience in childcare, education or recreation are considered assets. Schedule & Compensation

Monday–Friday, 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Full-day availability is required on days when there is no school, including professional development days, storm days and school holidays. Additional hours may be available based on program needs.

Wage is determined based on education and years of experience and is approved by the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
