Job Summary

Willing Education offers school-aged (5 to 12 years old) after school programs. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning setting and delivering engaging lessons to students.

Duties

- Teach music curriculum to students in grades K-6, covering a range of topics including music theory, performance, and appreciation.
- Lead students in music activities, including singing, movement
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that foster creativity and a love of music.
- Support the development of student musical skills and knowledge in a variety of settings, from classroom instruction to performances.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged and supported.
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance

Requirements

- A degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).




- Previous experience teaching music to children, ideally in an elementary school setting.
- A passion for working with children and helping them develop their musical talents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to fostering a fun, engaging, and welcoming classroom.
- A clear criminal record check
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Class 5 Driver's License an asset

- Experience with diverse student populations
- Proficiency in educational technology
- Fluency in multiple languages

This is a paid position with opportunities for professional development and growth within our educational institution. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
