Summary The Loss Prevention Agent protects company assets and ensures a safe environment for customers and employees at the Sainte-Catherine Street store. The role conducts operational and inventory audits, monitors surveillance systems, performs routine patrols of the sales floor, and leads investigations into internal and external incidents. Agents also respond to emergencies, provide first aid when required, and support store teams with inventory and safety programs.

Responsibilities

- Open and close the store according to Holt Renfrew procedures.

- Perform assigned operational and inventory control audits and follow up to ensure compliance.

- Conduct routine floor patrols and monitor CCTV to maintain continuity and integrity of operations.

- Lead internal and external investigations, apprehend shoplifters while preserving evidence, and prepare accurate notes and reports.

- Respond to emergencies, provide first aid/CPR/AED as needed, and follow up with detailed incident reports.

- Support sales and operations teams with inventory,



missing-item programs, and non-sellable item processes.

- Act as a health and safety advocate, participate in monthly meetings, and communicate with store teams and new employees.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in loss prevention and/or health and safety in a quick-paced retail environment.

- Valid provincial security license required at time of hire and must be maintained.

- Valid standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required at time of hire and must be maintained.

- Investigation and interview training an asset; ability to maintain clear field notes and daily communication records.

- Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills; ability to prepare complete, clear, and accurate investigation reports.

- Willingness to testify in criminal proceedings if required and to comply with privacy, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.
