This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking someone with appliance retail sales experience who can contribute immediately with minimal training and take ownership of their responsibilities.

SMS Appliances is looking for a reliable, experienced, and motivated to join our team.

This is a full-time, multi-responsibility position for someone with experience in the appliance industry who can start quickly and work with minimal training. The position combines appliance repair and service, deliveries, warehouse work, appliance handling, and store support.

About the Position The successful candidate will diagnose and repair household appliances at customer locations, perform in-shop repairs at our warehouse when required, deliver appliances to customers, pick up appliances from suppliers and partner locations, transport scrap appliances for disposal, and assist with store operations when needed.

You will also help with receiving shipments, organizing the warehouse and showroom, moving appliances,



checking incoming appliances, and supporting our sales team when required.

We are looking for someone who already has solid experience in appliance repair/service and related appliance operations and can become productive quickly without extensive training.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair household appliances at customer homes and businesses
- Repair and maintain appliances at our warehouse and retail locations
- Install and test appliances as required
- Deliver appliances safely and professionally to customers
- Pick up appliances, parts, and equipment from suppliers, warehouses, and company locations
- Transport scrap appliances and materials to recycling or disposal facilities
- Safely load, unload, and move large and heavy appliances
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and showroom
- Assist with store operations and appliance sales when needed
- Complete service reports, repair documentation, and delivery records
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition
- Provide excellent customer service and represent SMS Appliances professionally
- Work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and transportation regulations

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as an Appliance Technician, Service Technician, or similar role is required
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience repairing major household appliances, including:
- Refrigerators
- Washers
- Dryers
- Dishwashers
- Stoves/Ranges
- Microwaves
- Strong appliance industry knowledge and hands-on experience
- Experience with appliance deliveries, installations, or warehouse operations is an asset
- Experience operating delivery vehicles and transporting large appliances
- Valid Class 1A or equivalent commercial driver's licence is an asset/required where applicable
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift, load, unload, and move heavy appliances
- Strong organizational and time-management skills




- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer and mobile device skills for service documentation

Important — Experience Required We are looking for someone who already knows the appliance industry and can start working quickly with minimal training.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable diagnosing appliance problems, working with customers, handling appliances, driving for deliveries, and helping with warehouse/store operations.

This is not an entry-level position. Extensive training will not be provided. We need someone who can bring existing experience and skills to the team and become productive quickly.

Schedule

Full-Time — Tuesday to Saturday

- Sunday and Monday: OFF

Usually:
- Tuesday–Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Statutory holidays may be required when business needs it

The position is based around appliance service, deliveries, warehouse operations, and store support. Saturday will also involve helping customers and appliance sales at the store.

Requirements

- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid driver's licence with appropriate commercial endorsements, where required
- Ability to lift and move appliances weighing 100 lbs or more with assistance and proper equipment
- Ability to travel throughout Saskatchewan for service calls and deliveries, if applicable
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
