Position Overview

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of household appliances. You will be the face of Southern Hills to our clients, providing outstanding customer service while ensuring repairs are done safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This role is open to both employees and subcontractors. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair major home appliances (washers, dryers, fridges, stoves, dishwashers, etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues in-person and over the phone with clients when required
- Maintain accurate service records and manage parts ordering as needed
- Travel to client locations across Southern Alberta (company service vehicle provided for employees)
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers




- Follow company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

- Journeyman or experienced technician preferred; candidates with less experience may still apply (training provided)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Valid Alberta driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience with diagnostic tools, multimeters, and repair manuals
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Compensation & Opportunities

- Employee technicians: $18–$35/hour (based on experience and skill level)
- Subcontractors: competitive rates, discussed during the interview process
- Paid training and ongoing support
- Company service vehicle, tools, and parts pipeline support (for employees)
- Steady Monday–Friday schedule (with optional Saturday work)
