Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training. IT Architect, Manufacturing (OT). Reporting to the IT Director Infrastructure Management & Innovation, the IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for developing technical architecture, managing intake for I&S;, and supporting technical architecture governance.
This role drives the intake process from the initial request to high‑level analysis and solutioning and is responsible for engaging the right stakeholders for detailed design. In addition, this role develops and maintains architectural standards and documentation for a dynamic growing organization. The IT Infrastructure Architect will perform planning, estimating and roadmap definition for IT initiatives, projects, and new emerging technologies.
As an IT Infrastructure Architect, you will join a team of Technical Architects that will collaborate with other IT functions (i.e., Security, Digital, Core Infrastructure, PMO and Regional Service Delivery Managers.) Executing intake processes for technical architecture, including requirements gathering, consulting with other specialists, investigation of solutions, and high‑level design. Build trusted advisor relationships and influential partnerships with peerarchitect/SMEs/specialist based on strong technology expertise and leverage them to gather insights concerning on‑going/upcoming project initiatives. Develop high‑level solution architecture that may span multiple work streams whilst identifying downstream dependencies, conduct solutions and options analysis, and lead proof of concepts. time, resources required, cost) for projects and support with planning.
Consult, develop, manage, and maintain architecture standards, reference architectures, and documentation repository.
Conduct architectural reviews and facilitate review meetings; review technical architecture developed by others and ensure alignment to standards; support technical architecture governance processes and meetings. Collaborate with architects from other IT functions (e.g., Enterprise, Digital, Security, Applications etc.).
Provide subject matter expertise on technical architecture. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Info Systems, related field or equivalent experience. ~8 years’ progressive work experience focused on architecting, designing and implementing infrastructure systems. ~ compute, network, security, etc.) From planning to implementation & maintenance. ~ Strong analytical skills (quantitative and iterative), coupled with strong ability to produce detailed technical documentation at both high level and detailed design. ~ Solid understanding of architecture frameworks and best practices (e.g., Knowledge of IT security management practices and relevant certifications (e.g., 3-5 years’ experience in a senior IT network role. ~Deep expertise in at least two IT/OT infrastructure domains, with broad knowledge across all domains (e.g., Network Architecture, Inventory Gathering, Situational Review, Endpoint Protection, Policy & Governance, Standards, compute, network, storage, backup’s, disaster recovery and security, etc.) From planning to implementation & maintenance. ~ Experience working in a consultant capacity or within an organization’s OT environment to establish IT/OT roadmaps to a target Architecture. ~ Experience leading an assessment or evaluation of an IT/OT environment to include execution of the assessment, analysis of results, and formulation of a final report for dissemination to key stakeholders. ~ Strong Knowledge in Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Microsoft 365). ~ As part of his duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America. #
