Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed architectural drawings, technical schematics, and system designs that support innovative building projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse architectural and engineering initiatives, utilizing advanced CAD and 3D modeling tools to bring concepts to life.
Duties
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and construction documents using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and Rhinoceros 3D.
- Develop 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, 3ds,
and 2D animation tools to enhance project presentations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to create system designs for mechanical, interior, and graphic elements of projects.
- Assist in drafting interior layouts, mechanical systems, and graphic design components ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Utilize Bluebeam for markup review and document management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support construction documentation processes by preparing accurate schematics and technical drawings.
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical insights and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Contribute to innovative system design solutions in architecture, interior design, mechanical systems, and graphic presentations.
Experience
- Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, Rhinoceros 3D, SolidWorks, and SketchUp.
- Robust background in drafting, schematic development, system design, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and 2D/3D visualization techniques.
- Experience in interior design or mechanical design is a plus.
- Knowledge of building codes, construction processes, and technical standards related to architecture is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple projects efficiently. This position offers an engaging environment for creative professionals passionate about architecture and technology-driven design solutions.
