Role: Temp to perm
Pay - $19.00/hr + 4% vacation pay
Hours – days 7am-3:30pm
This role involves the precise assembly and soldering of small electronic medical devices. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, experience working with fine components, and a solid understanding of quality standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble small, high-precision medical devices following detailed work instructions
- Perform fine hand soldering under a microscope to solder wires
- Bond or glue small components with precision
- Inspect, test, and meet strict quality and performance standards
- Prepare finished devices for shipment
- Maintain clean and safe workstations, adhering to quality and regulatory standards (ISO 13485)
- Accurately complete production documentation and follow established procedures
- Gather, organize, and/or package individual components for production staging (kitting)
- Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education preferably in Biotechnology, health or related field
- Students or recent graduates interested in medical device manufacturing are encouraged to apply
- At least one year of hands-on experience in medical device assembly, electronics, jewelry assembly, or similar precision work highly preferred
- High preference for candidates demonstrating proficiency in hand soldering, including experience using microscopes for detailed tasks
- Comfortable working with very small components
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor coordination and visual accuracy, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Understanding of manufacturing processes in regulated environments (ISO 13485) highly preferred

Pay: $19.00 per hour, double time after 40 hours Expected hours: 40.0 – 47.5 per week
Day shift (7am to 3:30pm) and overtime (3:30pm to 5pm)
