As an Assembly and Service Technician, you will work with a collaborative manufacturing team to assemble, test, document, and service a range of complex medical devices, from in-development prototypes to market-ready products.

Reporting to the Planning and Manufacturing Manager, you will complete careful mechanical and electrical assembly, follow established work instructions and quality requirements, troubleshoot build and test issues, and help the team meet demanding shipping commitments. Total compensation range is expected to be:

41,000 - 54,700 CAD for the Assembly and Service Technician position. Employees are also eligible to earn profit sharing.

As an Assembly and Service Technician your responsibilities will include: Assembly, Testing and Service

- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly in accordance with established work instructions and the quality management system, using adhesives, soldering equipment, electrical safety testing equipment, hand tools, and other production equipment as applicable.
- Perform in-line testing and inspections to confirm that incoming materials and finished work meet quality requirements.




- Read and work from electronic and mechanical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical work instructions.
- Assess and service products in-house or in the field when assigned, following company procedures.
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly or test issues, resolving routine problems within established procedures and escalating unfamiliar or complex situations.

Quality and Documentation
- Complete assembly, inspection, and product history records accurately and legibly.
- Document non-conformances and return material authorizations in accordance with the quality management system.
- Support the implementation of design changes and the introduction of new products into manufacturing.

Teamwork and Safety
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Product Development, and Supply Chain to meet quality and shipping commitments.
- Follow all health and safety requirements, including the proper use, care, and storage of personal protective equipment.
- Provide support to other operational areas as required.

Our ideal candidate brings:

- Hands-on aptitude and experience or training in mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, soldering, testing, or system troubleshooting.
- The ability to read and understand electronic and mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical work instructions.
- A high-school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education or technical coursework in manufacturing, engineering, technology, or a related field is an asset.
- Basic Microsoft computer skills; experience with SharePoint and ERP/MRP software is an asset.
- The ability to lift, pull, and move parts weighing approximately 15 lbs and complete fine-motor assembly tasks for extended periods.

Desired Skills, Attributes and Abilities:

- Experience working within an ISO quality system, particularly ISO 13485.
- Experience assembling or servicing medical devices or other complex electromechanical products in a regulated environment.
- Strong organization, careful attention to detail,



and pride in producing complete, accurate documentation.
- A collaborative and dependable approach, with the flexibility to support changing production priorities and demanding shipping schedules.
- A willingness to ask thoughtful questions, check for understanding, and recognize when an issue should be escalated.
