SUMMARY:
Responsible for assembling and rebuilding turbochargers using approved components, tools, specifications, and quality procedures. Performs inspection, assembly, testing, and documentation activities to ensure products meet quality, performance, and customer requirements.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble and rebuild turbochargers according to work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
- Inspect components prior to assembly to verify condition, fit, and conformance to specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, measuring instruments, fixtures, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow documented assembly processes and torque specifications.
- Perform balancing, testing, and verification procedures as required.
- Identify and report defective parts, tooling issues, or quality concerns.
- Complete production records and work orders accurately.
- Maintain organized workstations, tools, and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardized work practices.
- Assist with inventory control and material handling activities as required.
- Cross-train in other production functions, including teardown and sandblasting.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision components.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical documents, and assembly procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and assembly equipment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and maintain productivity standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous assembly, manufacturing,
or production experience.
- Experience rebuilding turbochargers, engines, transmissions, or other mechanical equipment.
- Experience using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Familiarity with quality control inspection processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Forklift or material handling experience (where applicable).
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
WORK SETTING:
- Manufacturing and shop environment.
- Exposure to machinery, compressed air tools, oils, grease, and production equipment.
- Frequent interaction with teardown, sandblasting, quality, and production teams.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for assembly and tool operation.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motions.
- Visual ability to inspect parts for defects and verify assembly quality.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and production equipment.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical repair, or production experience preferred.
- Experience working with automotive or mechanical components is considered an asset.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
