Le Croissant is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. We are a busy, fast-growing artisan bakery and café, and we're looking for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a high-volume environment, and knows how to lead a team with both warmth and accountability.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations, develop our team, maintain exceptional guest experiences, and keep the bakery running smoothly.

What You'll Do

- Lead and support the FOH team during daily service
- Coach and develop Supervisors, Baristas and FOH staff
- Maintain high standards for hospitality, cleanliness, product presentation and service
- Assist with scheduling, labour management and shift coverage
- Participate in hiring, onboarding and employee training
- Provide feedback, manage performance concerns and hold the team accountable to expectations
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and confidently
- Maintain strong communication between FOH and bakery production teams
- Monitor product availability, sell-outs and guest feedback
- Assist with inventory, ordering and operational controls
- Implement and maintain SOPs, checklists and operating systems
- Identify problems, take ownership and follow through on solutions
- Act as Manager on Duty and confidently oversee operations in the General Manager's absence

You should have

- Previous leadership experience in hospitality, food service, retail or another fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and people-management skills
- Experience coaching and developing employees
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
- Confidence providing feedback and holding employees accountable
- The ability to remain calm and make good decisions during busy service
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings and weekends

Bakery or café experience is an asset, but strong leadership and hospitality experience are more key.
