Responsibilities

- Assist the Kitchen Manager in supervising daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards
- Support team management tasks such as interviewing, onboarding new staff, and conducting performance evaluations
- Ensure efficient food service delivery by coordinating with front-of-house teams and maintaining smooth kitchen workflows
- Uphold excellent customer service standards by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly




- Enforce food safety protocols and maintain proper documentation for health inspections and audits

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong supervisory background with team management and leadership skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for efficient cash handling and order processing
- Excellent communication skills for interviewing, training, and motivating staff
- Knowledge of restaurant management principles, including inventory control and quality assurance
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is a plus, demonstrating versatility across the food industry and hospitality sectors
