Join our team! AGF is seeking a Machine Operator to join our dynamic team based in our London shop (120 McMillan St, London, ON N5W 6C6).

In our London plant, we transform steel bars into custom-cut and bent rebar, which is bundled onto our trucks and delivered to construction sites across the region. It’s hands-on, physical work that plays a vital role in every project we support.

What we offer:

- Full time temporary position (6-8 weeks);
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (with flexibility to work until 5:30 p.m., if needed);
- Starting salary: $20.50/hour;

About the Role - Your main responsibilities will include:

- Read and follow bar lists to fabricate rebar according to specific specifications;
- Assist equipment operators with material handling;




- Affix identification tags to fabricated rebar bundles;
- Support with additional assigned tasks as required;
- Act in compliance with AGF’s Health & Safety policies following the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Other duties as assigned

About You - The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing;
- Experience operating an overhead crane (an asset);
- Basic math and measurement skills (an asset);
- Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment;
- Ability to perform physical tasks – lift/move up to 50 lbs;
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform physical labor;
- Strong multitasking skills and capacity for teamwork.
