- Originate, analyze, and structure new loan opportunities across commercial real estate asset classes

- Ensure transactions comply with lending guidelines, ROE requirements, and Bank policies and procedures

- Prepare loan summaries before LOI or AOT issuance when required, for review and senior credit management presentation

- Promote Equitable Bank and CFG brands through broker and industry events

- Act as a customer advocate for brokers, partners, and clients

- Communicate daily with Commercial Originations, credit, and funding teams

- Manage the loan pipeline to meet prescribed deadlines

- Travel for industry events, customer presentations, and site inspections

- Assist with originating commercial mortgage transactions greater than $5,000,000

- Issue Letters of Interest and Acknowledgment of Terms and complete site inspections

Requirements

- Post-secondary education (diploma/degree), preferably in business or finance, is required

- Minimum 3 years of commercial mortgage experience as an analyst, account manager, or underwriter

- Proficient credit skills

- Sound knowledge of real estate secured lending and regulatory and macroeconomic factors affecting the commercial mortgage market

- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

- Solid understanding of financial statements and financial ratio analysis





- Working knowledge of AML/ATF regulations and corporate/legal documentation for commercial mortgages

- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities

- Commitment to strengthening business development, negotiation, and presentation skills

- Ability to work independently in a team setting

- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills

- Strong customer service focus, industry knowledge, and team orientation

- Successful completion of a criminal background check and credit check required for hire
