Position Information
Temporary position until approximately September 19, 2027.
Rotation/Shifts
Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements
- Master's in Audiology;
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO);
- Working knowledge of hospital procedures and policies such as Code of Ethics and Occupational Health and Safety;
- Experience working with audiology specific software such as hearing aid and cochlear implant programming software;
- Ability to administer and interpret audiology diagnostic tests and troubleshoot audiology equipment;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Superior judgement, problem solving skills and initiative;
- Superior interpersonal skills;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Audiology degree - AuD;
- Member of SAC;
- Experience working in an adult acute care hospital;
- Interest and ability to perform and interpret advanced audiologic testing such as AEPs, vHIT.
- Skills to properly assess and treat a wide variety of patients with various degrees and types of hearing loss;
- An understanding of the psycho-social impact of hearing loss on an individual¿s ability to function
- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).
The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills.
