Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical system diagnostics and fixes
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements
- Lift heavy vehicle parts safely using proper techniques and equipment to ensure efficient repairs
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced, including parts used and work performed
- Follow safety procedures consistently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Journeyman Certification in automotive repair
- Experience with troubleshooting complex & electrical issues is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
- Good communication skills for explaining repairs and recommendations to customers or team members
