Job Summary

Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment using advanced hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic schematics.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles operating smoothly.
- Repair and service industrial machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment by following manufacturer guidelines and schematics.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and forklifts safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Utilize electrical knowledge to troubleshoot wiring issues, sensor failures, and electronic control modules in various machinery.
- Weld metal components or structures as needed for repairs or assembly using welding equipment.
- Assist with the assembly of new equipment or machinery components ensuring proper fit and function.
- Maintain detailed service records, update maintenance logs, and communicate repair status clearly with team members and customers.
Experience
- Prior dealership experience or background working with automotive repair shops is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar or other industrial equipment brands is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating power tools and hand tools for repairs.
- Experience with HVAC systems or welding techniques is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate repair needs and solutions to clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs or maintenance tasks.
