job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tires on a variety of vehicles. You will also perform oil changes, light maintenance and/or diagnose further mechanically concerns, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

This role offers an excellent chance for individuals with automotive repair experience and a strong mechanical aptitude to grow within our busy and expanding Canadian Tire Shop.

Duties

- Remove and replace tires using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Perform tire repairs, rotations, balancing, and alignments as needed
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper inflation levels
- Assist customers with tire-related questions and recommend appropriate solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Conduct vehicle inspections related to tire condition during service visits
- Support other maintenance tasks as required to ensure overall vehicle safety and performance

Qualifications
- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience required




- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and tire maintenance
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and specialized tire equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 80+ pounds) and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance procedures is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license is required
