We are currently seeking an experienced AV Technician to join our team in Nova Scotia. - Conference Rooms – Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, BYOD Style Rooms
- Large Format Displays, Video Walls, Projectors and Screens
- Distributed, Multi-Room Audio Systems
- Public Address & Intercom Systems
- System Control and Integration
- Traditional Audio & Video Conferencing Systems
- Digital Signage Solutions & Software
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead project installations; manage project team members, project schedule, customer expectations and be accountable for the end project
- Installation of equipment and associated wiring
- System programming , configurations and commissioning of assigned projects
- Complete systems documentation; commissioning reports, as-builts, etc
- Interpretation of drawings including architectural, elevation, and schematic drawings
- Communicate with the customers about the system specifications and functions
- Complete all daily, weekly and monthly paperwork as required
- Attend service calls to troubleshoot systems for customers – diagnosis of problems and implementation of solutions
- Understand, adhere to,
and promote environmental health & safety practices
- Job planning according to desired timelines, including the dissection of blueprints from designers
- Outgoing, professional and friendly personality with the ability to liaise with customers, conduct site surveys and do basic estimating for time and materials jobs
- Highly organized and self-motivated, requiring very little supervision
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Knowledge of IP networks and the ability to configure IP based system solutions
- Robust ability and experience in coordinating and motivating team members while verifying completed tasks to provide on-the-job training and mentors
- Any and all other duties as assigned by management
Experience Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in ProAV Installations and/or ProAV programming
- Familiar with MS Teams, Zoom, Other soft-codec collaboration platforms
- CTS Certificate considered an asset
- Ability to test, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, specific to audio, video, signal, control
- Preference will be given to those who have programming and configuration experience with the following Manufacturers:
- Crestron
- QSC·Q-SYS
- Poly
- BiAmp
- Logi
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence; reasonable driver abstract
- Willingness to work overtime
- Travel throughout Atlantic Canada may be required
- Ability to pass a valid criminal record check
- Ability to hold government security clearances
