Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced baker to join our team within the food service and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in a team environment and strong baker skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards, and deliver exceptional products to retail stores. Prior bakery experience is highly valued, along with familiarity with food handling and leadership in food industry settings.

Responsibilities

- follow recipes and instructions to produce various baked goods
- Operate baking machinery such as mixers, ovens, and proofers
- Maintain quality control by inspecting finished products
- Package and label finished goods for shipment
- Innovate and develop new bakery products, catering to customer preferences.
- Keep a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

- Assist in other areas of bakery production as needed
- Prepare and coordinate food service activities, including cooking and food presentation to meet safety and quality standards




- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures

- Be involved with team meetings, provide coaching, and support staff development initiatives
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage bakery operations
- Assist in developing menu items or specials in collaboration with colleagues when applicable

Requirements

- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques and use of bakery equipment
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Solid attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to pivot and find solutions to minor problems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50-$22.50 per hour
