Drip House Cafe at 340B Parkdale Avenue is looking for a full time Barista with experience to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista duties include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, serving, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills, knowledge of brewing techniques, and a friendly personality.

You will be the first point of contact for our customers, so you must be able to be calm and helpful during their visit

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a barista or in food service.
- Passion for coffee, hospitality, and customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages following Drip House’s standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment,



including espresso machines and grinders.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take and process customer orders accurately, handling cash and card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including tables, counters, and workstations.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift.
- Support events and workshops hosted at Drip House, engaging with the local community.
- Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and overall café experience.
