A Behaviour Interventionist implements behaviour plans, collects data and provides one-on-one support to children/youth with support needs, working under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Use culturally protected, trauma-informed, relational, person and family-centered approaches. Maintain confidentiality of persons served information.
- Carry out individualized behaviour plans of intervention (BPIs) developed by a Behaviour Consultant or BCBA.
- Provide one-on-one support through play to children/youth to help them acquire specific skills. - Track and record data on target behaviours to monitor child/youth progress and inform necessary adjustments to intervention strategies.
- Demonstrate specific skills and behavior management techniques to children/youth. Assist children/youth in planning and providing experiences in the home and community to support their growth and development.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with Behaviour Consultants, therapists (like SLPs, OTs, PTs), and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain organized records and document all interactions, progress, and incident reports. Job Type: Full time
Pay: $28.31-$31.84 per hour
