Position Summary:We are looking for a Body Repair & Truck Upfitting Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing truck and vehicle accessories, trim, and upfitting equipment, as well as performing light automotive body and repair work.

This is not a major auto body repair position. The ideal candidate will have good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with vehicle interiors, exterior trim, accessories, and basic body components.

No dent repair, body filler work, or major collision repair is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Install a variety of truck and automotive accessories and upfitting equipment.
- Install running boards, steps, tonneau covers, racks, mud flaps, bumpers, grille guards, lighting, and other vehicle accessories.
- Install and remove interior and exterior trim components.
- Perform light body and cosmetic repairs as required.
- Remove and replace damaged or broken trim, panels, clips, brackets, and related components.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to vehicle body and accessory components.
- Properly align, fit, and secure accessories and trim for a clean, professional appearance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow manufacturer installation instructions and company quality standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, function, and finish.
- Protect vehicle interiors and exteriors during installation and repair.




- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.
- Communicate any additional issues or required repairs to the shop manager.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

What This Job Does Not Require

- No major collision repair.
- No extensive dent repair.
- No body filler or extensive bodywork.
- No major frame or structural repairs.
- No extensive paint and refinishing work.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in automotive, truck accessories, upfitting, body repair, or a related trade is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work confidently with hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to read and follow installation instructions.
- Ability to safely lift and handle vehicle accessories and components.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new products, accessories, and installation techniques.

Starting at $40 / hr Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in doing clean, professional work. You should be comfortable removing and reinstalling vehicle trim, installing accessories, making minor repairs, and ensuring every vehicle leaves the shop looking its best.
