MBS Fitness is a community-first training facility in Vaughan. We’re opening a new location on Keele Street and building out our adult martial arts program from the ground up. Our members aren’t looking for a fight camp — they’re professionals, parents, and beginners who want to get strong, learn a real skill, and train somewhere they actually enjoy walking into.
We’re hiring a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach to lead that program.
The Role
You’ll run adult BJJ classes (fundamentals through advanced), build the curriculum, and grow the mat culture from day one. This is a ground-floor opportunity — the person who takes it gets real ownership over how the program develops.
What you’ll do
- Instruct adult BJJ classes on a set weekly schedule (gi and no-gi)
- Build and maintain a structured fundamentals curriculum for new white belts
- Create a safe, welcoming training environment — especially for first-timers and women in the program
- Track attendance and student progression; run promotions
- Support member retention through check-ins and follow-up with new students
- Assist with trials, intro classes, and occasional promo content (photos/video for social)
- Keep mats and equipment clean and in good condition
What We’re Looking For
Required
- BJJ purple belt or higher under a recognized, verifiable lineage
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or assistant-coaching experience with adults
- Solid communication skills — you can break down a technique for someone who has never trained
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C (or willing to obtain before start)
- Clear vulnerable sector police check
- Reliable availability for weekday evenings and weekend mornings
