We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on product offerings, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires a strong understanding of cannabis products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage retail operations efficiently.
Bilingual abilities and experience in retail or hospitality are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support diverse clientele.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their needs
- Educate clients on product effects, proper usage, and legal regulations
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and receipt issuance
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with product filing and record keeping
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via in-person interactions or over the phone
- Ensure compliance with all legal and safety standards related to cannabis sales
- Support store cleanliness, organization, and overall store operations as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as basic math calculations, filing,
and data entry using Microsoft Office tools like Excel
Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (French or other languages) are a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; experience with POS systems preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for stock movement or setup
- Basic math skills for cash handling, transactions, and inventory counts
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or hospitality environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining professionalism
- Good computer operation skills for managing files, records, and sales data
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
