We are seeking a proactive and skilled Building Operator to oversee the maintenance, operation, and safety of a facility on a contractual basis. This energetic role requires a dedicated qualified capable of managing building systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring optimal functionality of all mechanical and electrical equipment. The Building Operator will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.
Duties
- Inspect and monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems daily to ensure safety and proper operation.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including filter changes, system testing, and equipment lubrication.
- Repair minor property issues such as leaking pipes, broken fixtures, and damaged drywall.
- Respond to tenant service requests and work orders promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with licensed outside contractors for major utility overhauls,
compliance inspections, and structural upgrades.
- Document completed repairs, inventory usage, and safety inspections in the facility management log.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience minor electrical work, and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Experience using CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices including safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in English for explicit reporting and team coordination.
- Ability to supervise contractors effectively
