Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Building Superintendent to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our commercial or industrial facilities. In this dynamic role, you will lead maintenance teams, manage building systems, and ensure the highest standards of functionality and safety. Duties

- Supervise and coordinate all building maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), low voltage systems, and industrial equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
- Oversee project management tasks related to repairs, upgrades, or renovations within the facility, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Manage vendors and contractors for specialized services such as electrical work, HVAC servicing, or manufacturing system repairs.
- Lead safety initiatives by conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a protected environment for staff and visitors.
- Monitor building systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, asset histories, and incident reports using CMMS software.




- Provide leadership to maintenance staff through training, supervision, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment.

Qualifications

- Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising maintenance teams within industrial or commercial facilities.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience—familiarity with schematics and wiring diagrams is essential.
- Experience working with manufacturing environments or industrial systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, low voltage electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Strong leadership skills with excellent communication skills in English; ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
