Job Summary

Cogency Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Power Automate / Microsoft Power Platform to support enterprise automation, process transformation, and governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis and process improvement experience, along with a solid understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Copilot Studio.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, governance functions, and delivery teams to understand business needs, identify automation opportunities, document requirements, and support the delivery of scalable and governed Power Platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process discovery sessions.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and standardization.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to prioritize automation opportunities.

Power Platform & Automation
- Develop a strong understanding of Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Copilot Studio capabilities.
- Identify suitable Power Platform solutions based on business requirements and process complexity.




- Support Power Automate workflow and business process automation initiatives from requirements through implementation.
- Collaborate with technical teams and Citizen Developers to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
- Support low-code/no-code adoption and enterprise Citizen Development programs.

Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Support Power Platform governance initiatives, including Center of Excellence (CoE) practices and environment lifecycle management.
- Assist with governance requirements related to DLP policies, security, compliance, and risk management .
- Ensure automation initiatives align with enterprise technology, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Support documentation and governance processes for Power Platform solutions.

Integration & Data
- Work with stakeholders and technical teams to understand application integration and data requirements.
- Analyze data flows, system dependencies, and integration points associated with automation solutions.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to identify appropriate integration approaches.
- Support data management and process automation initiatives across enterprise applications.

Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, security, risk, and governance stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on requirements and priorities.




- Communicate technical and automation concepts effectively to both business and technical audiences.
- Track requirements, dependencies, risks, and issues through the delivery lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem , including:
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
- Power BI
- Copilot Studio
- Proven experience gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and documenting business needs.
- Experience working in governance, compliance, security, risk management, digital transformation, or enterprise technology environments.
- Familiarity with application integrations, data management, and automation technologies.
- Knowledge of low-code/no-code development and Citizen Development programs .
- Strong analytical, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French .
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid client environment.

Nice to Have
- Experience with Power Platform CoE frameworks.
- Knowledge of DLP policies and Power Platform setting management .
- Experience with Power Platform governance and adoption programs.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, Azure, Dataverse, or related Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with enterprise automation or workflow transformation programs.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
